Shocking that some of these players have more caps than the likes of Sir Trevor. The problem is it's all so slow, sideways and back. So many chances to cross the ball but they turn back pfaff about and by the time they try and cross it's all too late. Just seem reluctant to take any risks at all.

This is probably the most boring England team we've had for decades, considering the attacking players at his disposal.
The last time I was this bored watching England was was when Taylor was picking the likes of Geoff Thomas, Carlton Palmer, Earl Barrett and Alan Smith.

Totally agree. some proper players. If they were supplemented better with the surrounding players (or used better in the case of Foden) and the team had a better manager who was more aggressive then we'd absolutely be a threat and you'd say only France are better. What's unfortunate is that they are stacked with class in almost every position.
Sadly this generation are going to be frittered away most likely, like past ones.
We could do with a proper top class keeper, a left back and a defensive partner for Stones but other than that we're very good with everyone fit.

England have got some very good players. Rice, Bellingham, Kane, Foden and Walker are all top players.
He insists on picking some dross though.
There’s something about Southgate that makes you want to switch off the telly and it’s not just the shit football.
